The Problem

A failure point that repeats.

A document is supposed to fully describe something: a trade quote, a clinical note, a claim file. Checking it, line by line, against everything it should contain is manual work, whether or not a strict guideline already governs the review. Manual checks miss things, and when they do, there's rarely a specific record of what was actually missing.

01 Unstructured Input

The document doesn't say what it should

A quote, a note, a claim file arrives incomplete or inconsistent, missing detail the document type is supposed to include. Whether or not a guideline already exists to check it against, someone still has to notice exactly what's missing.

02 Manual Comparison

Checking it by hand doesn't scale

Even where a strict standard exists, a clinical protocol, a claims policy, comparing an unstructured document against every line of it by hand is slow and error-prone. Things get missed not because no one is looking, but because manual comparison against a long requirement list doesn't scale.

03 Vague Findings

Flags that aren't specific enough to act on

"Needs more detail" isn't a finding. A specific record, this is what's missing, this is what the requirement says, is. Without it, disputes take longer to resolve and the reviewer has nothing concrete to point to.

The Engine

Submit it. See exactly what's missing.

Every document type has an implicit checklist: what a compliant quote should include, what a clinical note needs to cover, what a claim file needs before it holds up. TRL checks your document against that list and tells you specifically what's there, what's not, and what it's measured against.

About Us

Built by people who've lived the problem.

Mark Bromley Founder & CEO

Mark Bromley

Built a fresh produce business from a ten-person partnership to more than 100 staff across Queensland and NSW, before relocating to the UK in 2022 and selling the business in 2025. Managing investment properties remotely, and watching a property manager operate without the technical grounding to catch what actually mattered, became the problem TRL was built to solve. Leads product and the engine's core logic, from concept through to build.

Derek Laney Technology Architect & GTM Advisor

Derek Laney

Founder of Helikona, an advisory practice helping organisations make sound, human decisions about AI. More than 25 years in enterprise technology across Asia-Pacific, most recently as a technology evangelist at Slack and Salesforce, translating frontier technology into practical change in how work gets done. At TRL, he advises on technology architecture and go-to-market strategy as the platform moves from beta to scale.

Ros King Business Strategy & Development

Ros King

Began her career in finance before moving into SAP FI/CO consultancy, leading large-scale ERP implementations and later templating solutions for the SME market. Turned around distressed businesses for a VC firm before entering healthcare in 2014, serving as CEO of The Surrey Park Clinic and then founding The Female Health Clinic, now seven locations and more than 7,000 patients. At TRL, she leads business and brand building, with a focus on rollout across new sectors, drawing on legal and healthcare governance expertise as a CQC Registered Manager and Nominated Individual.

Rueben Quinn Early Contributor & Product Strategy Lead

Rueben Quinn

Ten years of quota-carrying commercial business development experience in enterprise financial services and fintech, most recently at American Express partnering with mid-market and corporate clients on working capital strategy and payments solutions, with earlier experience at fintech scale-up Zai. Consistently ranked in the top 5% of every organisation he's worked in. Collaborated on shaping TRL's initial log from a basic set of questions and filters into a comprehensive rules-based engine, drawing on discovery calls with agency owners and Property Managers and deep client discovery experience from his corporate sales work.
